Gut Feeling | Episode 1

When Nicole went to wake up her sisters after spending the night on the family’s trampoline, her sister Megan was nowhere to be found. Megan was 14 years old and was the oldest in her family. After calling friends and neighbors, the police are called to help with the search.

Join our host, Emily as she takes you through the details of the case with personal interviews by those close to the case.

Interviews:

Nicole was seven years old and had been sleeping on the trampoline until she woke up sometime that night after Megan disappeared and headed back inside.

Misty was Darrel’s (Megan’s father) secretary and worked with Darrel the morning Megan was found missing.

Keira was a close friend and neighbor to Megan. Outside of her family, she was one of the last people to see her the night before. Megan's Dad calls her to see if she is with her.

Whitney was also a close friend. Megan had planned to go on a camping trip with Whitney and her family in the coming days. Megan's mom calls her to see if she has any idea where Megan might be.

Brian Stositch was a deputy at the time and was the responding deputy to Megan’s home. He helped in the search and talked to Megan’s mom, Gina, and father, Darrel.

Sergeant Brian Lovell was a deputy at the time and responded to the house to help search the property.

Peggy was a close family friend and a member of the same church as Megan’s family, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Megan’s brother had spent the night at her house. When she returns him the next day, she is told that Megan is missing. She volunteered to watch Megan’s younger siblings.

Amber was a close friend and neighbor to Megan. She was a few years older and had been a babysitter for the family. She thought of Megan as a little sister. She had just had foot surgery and was not questioned by the police.

Emily Downey

Emily is a true crime enthusiast. As a child, her mom would read mystery novels aloud on long car rides and instilled that love for a good mystery in Emily. Her interest in unsolved disappearances started with Stephanie Crane, a 9-year-old who disappeared from Challis, ID on Oct. 11, 1993. Emily was also 9 at the time and the story really emphasized the fact that even in small towns evil is lurking.
